Growth Continues in Guanacaste

Growth continues in Guanacaste!  This is great news for the communities.  Not only will this growth create more local jobs, it will also bring more people to the area will continue to boost the local economy!  With more people coming to the area, property values are sure to go up!

The latest announcement of another hotel coming to the area is great news! The Wyndham Hotel Group announced the signing of a franchise agreement for the first resort in Costa Rica to fly the upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts® brand flag, the Wyndham Papagayo Yu Resort in Guanacaste. The 151-room property is currently under development in one of the most popular vacation destinations in Central America and is scheduled to open by the end of 2015.

Paulo Pena, president and managing director of Latin America for Wyndham Hotel Group said “A key factor in our growth in Latin America and the Caribbean is further expanding the Wyndham brand’s resort offerings in key leisure destinations. Guanacaste’s popularity among international travelers as a top vacation spot makes it an essential location for us to be present. We’re thrilled to work with ASECCSS to break ground on Wyndham Papagayo Yu Resort, which will be a beautiful retreat for travelers and a shining example of the resort experience the Wyndham brand offers.”

Wyndham Papagayo Yu Resort will be situated along Playa Panamá.  The resort is conveniently located just 12.5 miles from Liberia International Airport and will give guests immediate access to the region’s attractions, including Arenal Volcano, Hanging Bridges and numerous national parks, as well as countless sporting and adventure activities, tours and wildlife. Resort services and amenities will include two on-site restaurants, shops, a pool, sports courts, a gym and a spa. All guest accommodations, comprised of standard and junior suites, will offer ocean views.
