One of the great things about living in the Playas Del Coco, Guanacaste area, including Playa Hermosa, is a great choice of sunset cruises to choose from. When people come to visit me in paradise, we like to plan the last full day of their visit as a sunset cruise. So you ask, “What makes these cruises so special?” Let me break down some of the differences.
Most of the trips include all-you-can-eat and drink while on board. They will take you out past Monkey Head to a beach and allow you to swim, snorkel, and kayak or just walk the beach. Upon your return, you will be treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets in all of Central America. The crews will attend to all your needs and do their best to pamper you while on board.
While each boat may vary in price along with the types of food and equipment they have on board, each will offer one of the best experiences of your trip to paradise.
Prices range from $45 – $85 dollars for a half day cruise.
The Mapache is a double-deck cruising boat that provides ample seating in chairs on the upper deck and an air-conditioned bar area down stairs. This is a great boat if you have a need to get out of the sun.
The newest cruise package on the Mapache is being offered by Coconutz Bar and Grill. It includes all-you-can-drink along with snacks while on board. Additionally, you get an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet at Coconutz Bar and Grill after you return to Coco. For $65 dollars, this may be the best deal in town.
The Spirit of The Ocean is a true sailing experience with all-you-can-drink along with snacks on board. This boat generally leaves out of Playa Hermosa. The price may vary slightly depending of the time of year. If sailing is what you are after, this is the boat for you!
The Marlin Del Ray is a large Catamaran that offers all-you-can-drink along with snacks on board. It has two large trampolines for viewing the ocean up close and personal. Like the other boats, you get an all-you-can-drink and snacks. The Marlin costs $85 per person.
The Seabird is a smaller sailboat that also all-you-can-drink along with snacks while on board. If you want to sail with a smaller group, check out the Seabird!
As you can see, this is a wonderful experience while visiting one of the most beautiful areas in Central America.
